Juan is a Partner of LJ Partnership. He is also Co-Chairman of Guggenheim Partners Latin America* and a Founder of Guggenheim Investment Advisors Suisse*, subsidaries of LJ Partnership acquired from Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm. Juan has over 20 years experience in trading, sales, private banking and asset management. During his tenure with leading US investment banks, Lehman Brothers (1989-1991) and later Bear Stearns (1993-1997) he handled over US$2 billion in assets on behalf of both top institutional investors and private banking clients. Subsequently, at Santander Securities and Banco Santander Central Hispano, in his capacity as Global Chief Trader and Director, he was in charge of international products for the US, Switzerland, Argentina and Mexico. Duties included asset allocation, advisory and management of US$12 billion of assets. Juan has over 20 years experience in trading, sales, private banking and asset management. Neil is a Partner and Chief Investment Officer for LJ Partnership. Neil left Manchester University in 1983 where he received a joint honours degree in Economics and Agricultural Economics. Following three years training as an analyst at J Henry Schroder Wagg & Co, he joined SG Warburg, later to become Mercury Asset Management (MAM), as an investment manager specialising in US equities. Neil was CIO of the Global Equity team when MAM was acquired by Merrill Lynch in 1998 and spent a further three years at Merrill Lynch until 2001. Neil was Partner in charge of Deloitte’s Investment Advisory business until 2011 when he led a management buyout to form LJ’s Investment Advisory platform.

Clara is a Partner of LJ Partnership. She is also a Partner of Guggenheim Partners Latin America*, a subsidary of LJ Partnership acquired from Guggenheim Partners, a global investment advisory firm. Clara is in charge of Relationship Management for ultra-high net worth clients in South America. She is a member of the Investment Committee at Guggenheim Partners Latin America. She has over 18 years of experience in private banking and asset management. Before joining Guggenheim Partners Latin America in 2000, she worked in Banco Santander Private Banking for South America. She also worked as Head of Business Development for Collectivemind, an internet developer of financial platforms for institutional investments.

Robert is a Partner of LJ Partnership and has over 29 years’ of experience within the finance industry, of which the last 19 have been spent in a Fiduciary Services environment. He was educated in the Isle of Man and following the completion of a BA (Econ) at the University of Manchester, commenced accountancy training with Pannell Kerr Forster (PKF), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1991. His role at PKF was predominantly audit and corporate finance focussed. In 1997 he joined Charles Cain at what is now LJ Partnership and is currently Managing Director of the Isle of Man office as well as being Group CFO for the Trust & Administration offering of the LJ Partnership.

Edward is a Partner and Vice Chairman of Trust & Administration at LJ Partnership. He has worked in the private wealth industry for over 25 years, having started his legal career in 1992 at Simmons & Simmons in London, Abu Dhabi and Hong Kong. In 1998 he joined JP Morgan as general counsel to the private banking and asset management businesses in EMEA and went on to serve as head of the Wealth Advisory business for JP Morgan Private Bank in South East Asia and London, and a member of the related global management committee for JP Morgan Private Bank. In 2004, Edward founded his own business in London, engaged in domestic and cross border international work for a wide range of clients, serving their personal and business interests. He studied at Warwick University and currently serves as Chairman of the Trust and Administration Management Committee, the Business Development Committee and the Remuneration Committee at LJ Partnership.

Antonio is a Partner of LJ Partnership. After he finished his degree in Business Management, Antonio joined Companhia de Seguros Mundial Confiança where he first worked in the planning and control division, and then in the investment management division. He later joined First Portuguese Group, an independent asset management firm, specialized in Alternative Investments, as a Director and Head of Operations, having also responsibilities in managing client´s portfolios. In 2004, Antonio was one of the co-founding partners of Blue Activos Financeiros, a global financial advisor, based in Portugal. He is a Partner of Guggenheim Partners Latin America*, a subsidary of LJ Partnership acquired from Guggenheim Partners, a global investment advisory firm. He is also the Chairman and founder of “Academia dos Champs”, a non-profitable organization that aims to provide social integration to children, involving them in sports from a young age.

Stuart Davies is a Partner of LJ Partnership and has over 20 years experience of providing investment advice and financial planning for wealthy families, individuals and trusts. Stuart specialises in investment consulting and long term strategic financial planning. His work includes detailed risk analysis for client portfolios, objective setting, portfolio benchmarking, manager search and assessment and performance monitoring. He advises a large number of ultra high net worth individuals, trusts and other organisations in the UK and overseas. Stuart is also a member of the panel of judges for the annual Private Asset Managers Awards, the leading awards in the private asset management business in the UK.

Jonathan is a Partner of LJ Partnership. He is responsible for overseeing LJ Partnership’s real estate platform and sits on boards and investment committees for a number of real estate companies. He has 18 years’ experience of principle and private investment and also runs an English Country Estate. Prior to setting up LJ Partnership, he was a Partner at Prostar Capital, a boutique private investment firm with interests in real estate financing and international residential development. Prior to that he co-founded and was Managing Director of Deutsche Land, an AIM listed real estate investment fund with AUM in excess €600m. Before that, he co-founded Cleland Capital Ltd which focused on UK real estate providing equity and debt financing. He started his career by training as a Fund Manager and became an Equity Analyst in the Pan European Building and Construction Mining sectors advising on over £4 billion at Brewin Dolphin Securities. Jonathan studied Business Management and Marketing at Newcastle University and is a Member of the Securities Institute.

Charles Filmer is a Partner of LJ Partnership and Head of LJ Private Office. Having grown up in Kenya and after a Short Service Commission in the 13th/18th Royal Hussars, Charles began working in the family office of Sir James Goldsmith where in 1993 he became a partner. Across 23 years with the Goldsmith Family Group, Charles gained an invaluable understanding of the workings of a private international family office. After the dismantling of the Goldsmith family office in 1997 Charles set up Unicorn Administration offering private office services to a client base of international families based in the UK. Unicorn Administration became the LJ Private office in 2012 and is run by Charles from headquarters in London.

Joshua is a Partner of LJ Partnership. He is also Managing Director of Guggenheim Investment Advisors (Hong Kong) Limited (“GIA (HK)”), a subsidiary of LJ Partnership acquired from Guggenheim Partners*, a global investment advisory firm. Prior to joining GIA (HK) in 2006, Joshua served as a Managing Director of Gottex Fund Management, a global fund of hedge funds provider, in their Hong Kong office which he opened. Prior to joining Gottex, Joshua was an Executive Manager at ABN AMRO Asset Management (Asia) Ltd., responsible for hedge fund research, as well as developing and managing relationships with Asian high net worth, family office, and institutional clients. Joshua’s Asian hedge fund career began as an equity analyst and portfolio manager with Sofaer Capital, a Hong Kong-based long/short equity manager investing in Asia Pacific markets. Joshua holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Tufts University.

Charlie is a Partner of LJ Partnership and a senior advisor within LJ Investment Management. He was previously a manager within the Deloitte Investment Advisory business and specialises in advising individuals, families, trustees, corporates and charities. He advises clients in the UK and overseas with a recent focus on emerging economies and regions. Charlie graduated with an honours degree in business from the University of Newcastle and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (FCSI) and a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals. Charlie has been in the industry for over 10 years.

Edward is a Partner of LJ Partnership and jointly responsible for overseeing all strategy and business development. Prior to setting up LJ, he was Managing Partner of Cornhill Fund Management LLP and Managing Director of Cornhill Property Investments, part of the Cornhill Asset Management Group. He previously set up CR Investment Group and the British & World Luxury Council in London, Dubai, Mumbai & Delhi. Edward was also an adviser to the London School of Business & Finance, and was educated in Oxford and received a BA (Hons) from Bristol University. Edward is currently a Patron of Lazarides, a leading contemporary art gallery, Advisor to One Luxury Group, and is an Advisor to speciality finance company Aperture Partners headquartered in Los Angeles.

Harry is a Partner of LJ Partnership, responsible for heading up strategy and business development. Prior to setting up LJ, he served as Managing Director of Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm. At Guggenheim he helped build out the international expansion of Guggenheim Investment Advisors focusing on Europe, LATAM and the Middle East. Harry was formerly an adviser to the London School of Business & Finance, was educated in Oxford and received a BA from Durham University. Harry is the Winner of the SWM Young Private Banker of the Year Award 2012 and Runner Up for SWM Future Leader in Wealth Management 2008 and 2010. Harry sits on the Development Board of the Institute for Statecraft and the advisory council of Resurgo Ventures, a programme aiming to accelerate the reach, sustainability and impact of outstanding church-based social ventures. Harry additionally sits on the Advisory Boards of the Global Partnership of Family Offices; Humus Capital, a Latin American private equity fund; and HWSC, a US based direct investing platform serving business owning families & family offices and supporting the growth & generational transition of family enterprise businesses. He is passionate about philanthropy and is an active anti-slavery supporter.

Gideon is a Partner of LJ Partnership. He is also Managing Director of Guggenheim Investment Advisors (Hong Kong) Limited (“GIA (HK)”), a subsidiary of LJ Partnership acquired from Guggenheim Partners*, a global investment advisory firm. Mr. Kong has over 18 years of in the investment industry in Asia. Prior to joining GIA (HK) in 2003, he worked for Credit Lyonnais Securities Asia (CLSA), where he spent 3 years leading the Asian convertibles research product. He also worked as a research analyst covering Hong Kong equities and Asian distressed loans for HSBC Securities and Sumitomo Bank, respectively. Mr. Kong holds a Bachelor of Arts in Honours Chartered Accountancy Studies from the University of Waterloo in Canada. He holds professional designations as a Chartered Financial Analyst, Chartered Professional Accountant and Chartered Accountant.

Prior to joining LJ Partnership, Lana worked at Cording Group where she was actively involved in developing the investment management platform of Cording business. Lana focussed primarily on direct investment and asset management with the deals consisting of both commercial and residential properties. Lana began her career at Credit Suisse/Situs Realty where she was responsible for real estate loan origination and asset management. Lana received an MSc in Real Estate Investment from Cass Business School and passed CFA Level 1.

Alexander is a Partner and Chief Executive Officer of LJ Partnership. Prior to setting up LJ, he was a partner at Prostar Capital, a corporate finance firm focusing on private equity and real estate investment. Alexander was Legal Counsel to the Deutsche Land Group PLC, an AIM listed real estate investment fund. Before moving in-house, Alexander worked as an associate in the real estate investment team at SJ Berwin in London and Paris. Alexander trained as a lawyer at Bircham Dyson Bell and worked for L’Oréal SA. He studied law, finance and regulation at BPP law school in London and Classics & Ancient History at Newcastle University.

Jose is a Partner of LJ Partnership. He is also a Director of Guggenheim Partners Latin America*, a subsidary of LJ Partnership acquired from Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm. Jose is in charge of Relationship Management with ultra-high net worth clients. At Guggenheim Partners Latin America, Jose has also headed the manager selection and due diligence efforts for International Wealth Management and is a member of the Investment Committee. Jose has over 22 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity and asset management. Before joining Guggenheim Partners Latin America in 2002, he was in charge of Acquisitions and Business Development at TMSG – an affiliate of private equity firm Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst. Prior to that, between 1993 and 1998, he worked as an Associate in investment banking at J.P. Morgan & Co. and as an Analyst at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Applied Science from The Engineering School of The University of Pennsylvania. He also holds an MBA with honors from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

Sophie is a Partner and General Counsel of LJ Partnership, overseeing LJ’s global legal activities across all service lines. Sophie joined LJ as Legal Counsel in 2012, and was appointed General Counsel in 2014. Sophie trained and practiced as a solicitor within the finance team at Slaughter and May, advising clients on a range of corporate and financing transactions. Sophie studied law at BPP Law School in London and holds a degree in English Literature from the University of Bristol.

Ricardo is a Partner LJ Partnership. He is also a Director of Guggenheim Partners Latin America*, a subsidary of LJ Partnership acquired from Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm. Ricardo is in charge of Relationship Management with ultra-high net worth clients. At Guggenheim Partners Latin America, Ricardo has played a senior role in the portfolio analysis division and is a member of the Investment Committee. He also led the efforts to open and expand the Guggenheim Hong Kong office. Ricardo has over 25 years of experience in consulting, trading and asset management. Prior to joining Guggenheim Partners Latin America in 2001, he worked as Vice President at Banco Santander International (1997-2001), where he was responsible for the trading, execution and recommendation of fixed income securities including US high grade and emerging market instruments. Before this, he worked in Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture) for 4 years (1991–1995), where he was involved as a senior consultant in a number of projects regarding some of the largest Spanish conglomerates. Mr. de la Serna participated in the Erasmus Programme and holds a BA (honors) from The Universities of Humberside (UK) and Madrid (Spain). He also has an MBA with concentration in finance from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

Soroosh is a Partner of LJ Partnership. Soroosh has over 24 years of experience in banking and finance. He was most recently co-Head of Global Markets at Renaissance Capital and a member of the board of Renaissance Credit in Russia. Prior to that, he acted as the Global Chairman of Emerging Markets at Nomura International. He has run various sales and trading operations at Lehman Brothers, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and Bankers Trust focused on global Emerging Markets. Soroosh holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University, Masters of Science and Philosophy degrees from Yale and an A.B. degree in Mathematics and Chemistry from Occidental College.

Elliot is a Partner and Chief Financial Officer of LJ Partnership and has 15 years’ experience in finance with a background in both practice and industry. Having graduated from university with BA (Hons) in Economics, Elliot spent the first eight years of his career in practice, before taking a director position (2003-2009) as head of finance in a real estate business. This led to a similar role within a blue-chip global company (Cushman & Wakefield) following acquisition, before leaving to help found LJ. Prior to this, Elliot also provided financial management services to Salamanca Capital Investments, a privately owned group of investment management and advisory companies.

Christopher is a Partner of LJ Partnership. He has over 24 years of experience in financial markets and investment management. Prior to joining LJ Partnership, he was a Partner at HighTower Advisors resulting from a divestiture in 2015 from Guggenheim Partners, where he was head of U.S. Portfolio Management for Guggenheim Investment Advisors, an SEC registered investment advisor. Prior to joining Guggenheim Partners in 2009, he was in the structured finance and derivatives group at Goldman Sachs. Prior to Goldman Sachs, he managed a structured finance portfolio at Sailfish Capital. Additionally, he has credit derivatives and bond trading experience from roles at both Wachovia Securities and Bear Stearns and started his career in 1993 at Merrill Lynch Investment Management as a portfolio manager. Christopher holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Chicago in Economics and a Master of Science degree in Finance from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern Univeristy. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 65 licences.

Pablo is a Partner of LJ Partnership. He is also Co-Chairman of Guggenheim Partners Latin America* and a Founder of Guggenheim Investment Advisors Suisse*, subsidaries of LJ Partnership acquired from Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm. Pablo has 23 years private banking/asset management and private equity experience. He worked at Prudential Securities from 1986 to 1989. In 1989, he joined WestSphere Capital; a New York based private equity firm. As a Senior Executive of WestSphere, he was responsible for establishing the firm’s Latin American asset management operations. In 1998, WestSphere Capital Advisors was sold to Banco Central Hispano (BCH). Subsequently he became head of Latin American Private Banking for BCH, where he opened asset management offices in Argentina, Brazil, Colombia, Dominican Republic, Mexico, Panama and Venezuela. Following the merger of BCH and Banco Santander to become BSCH, he became Managing Director for International Private Banking.

Andrew is the Executive Chairman of LJ Partnership. Andrew is responsible for LJ Partnership’s real estate investment strategies and oversees all the Group’s real estate investments, directly or through the various platforms. Prior to setting up LJ, Andrew was Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield Residential and Chairman of Cushman & Wakefield Hospitality for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, having transacted on over £5 billion of acquisitions. Andrew has worked in New Zealand, Australia, Asia, the Middle East and Europe and has concluded private & public equity, corporate finance, and property transactions in over 30 countries during the last 25 years. Andrew was Senior Managing Director of Colliers Jardine and a member of the Group Executive Committee. Andrew was responsible for setting up the group’s operations in London in 1993 and Colliers International in the Middle East in 1996.

Tony is a Partner of LJ Partnership and also Managing Director of Peterson Group. Peterson Group is a private family company headquartered in Hong Kong with businesses in property and capital investments. Its property portfolio comprises different asset classes and adopts opportunistic strategies in different markets globally. The Group’s capital arm conducts investments in capital markets and alternative asset classes such as private equity and private lending.

Direct Investment

Prior to joining LJ Partnership, Naveen worked with Citibank in the corporate banking division where he first worked in compliance, and then in commercial banking services unit. He later joined Emirates Banking Group in the central finance department focusing on group budgeting and reporting. Naveen also worked in the business planning unit at Emirates Banking Group and has worked closely with the merger steering committee of Emirates NBD Bank. Naveen has over 10 years of experience working in Asia, the Middle East and Europe. Naveen earned his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Master’s degree in Finance and Banking from the University of Strathclyde and the University of Salford.

Simon joined LJ Partnership as a senior advisor in 2011 and brings over 35 years experience in the real estate and investment banking sectors. He is also currently Senior Adviser to Macquarie Capital, the leading investment banking group, which he first joined in 2008 as a Senior Managing Director. Previously, he was the global Chief Executive of DTZ Corporate Finance, which he developed to the position of No 1 Global Financial Advisor in real estate (Euromoney 2006). Over his career, Simon has been directly involved in or supervised over $10 billion of transactions and capital raising globally. Simon has also been a principal investor as both Managing Director of The O’Connor Group’s European business (a US based real estate fund manager) and Benlox PLC (an LSE listed group). His investment banking experience included the Morgan Grenfell Group, where he was a Director. He is a qualified Barrister-at-law, with an MBA from INSEAD and an MA from Oxford University.

Dori Dana-Haeri sits on the Advisory Board of LJ Partnership. She has a long career in alternative assets including Private Equity, Venture Capital and Wealth Management. Immediately prior to joining LJ she was the Executive Chairman of Above Wealth a wealth management firm with a new business model. She was the founder and GP of Eden Ventures an early stage technology venture capital fund and founder of DDH Consultants working with a large number of fortune 500 companies on growth and innovation. She acts in advisory role to a number of Boards including the investment committee of a large captive venture fund. She is on the board or a trustee of a number of charities. Dori has an MBA from Bath University.

Katie is a real estate counsel for LJ Partnership where she is involved in the negotiation, structuring and execution of transactions across the real estate platform. Katie completed her BA and LLB from the University of Otago in New Zealand in 2011 and is a barrister and solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand. Katie worked as a solicitor in the Property team at Bell Gully, a top-tier commercial law firm in New Zealand before moving to London to work in the Real Estate Finance team at Clifford Chance. Katie has broad experience in real estate finance, corporate real estate, joint ventures, development, investment and mergers and acquisitions.

George is a director in the real estate division of LJ Partnership with responsibility for the UK Cities investment strategy. George has been working in commercial real estate since 2005, starting in the global advisory group Knight Frank. From there he went on to become an analyst in their fund management business Knight Frank Investment Management covering the purchase and asset management of over €680m of real estate.

George then became an investment manager at Cording Real Estate Group, a European investment management business investing in the UK, German and Nordic markets. There he helped develop the deal-by-deal platform before being appointed as an Investment Director of FORE Partnership. In FORE, George focused on the sourcing, structuring and asset management of real estate investments and overall investment strategy.

He is a Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and holds a degree in Real Estate Management from Oxford Brookes University. He is an active anti-slavery campaigner and President of Field Lane, a leading charity caring for vulnerable people.

Sam is a Director in the Real Estate division of LJ Partnership with responsibility for the UK Cities investment strategy. Sam has been working in the real estate investment market since 2005 and began his career at Millar Kitching, an investment boutique advising property companies, institutions and private clients.

Sam went on to become an Equity Partner of Cording Real Estate Group, a European investment management business, investing in UK, German and Nordic real estate markets. At Cording, Sam helped build the investment management capabilities of the group including the development of FORE Partnership, one of the group’s co-investment vehicles. In FORE, Sam served as Investment Director, focused on the sourcing, structuring and asset management of real estate investments and overall investment strategy.

Sam holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Durham and a Postgraduate Master’s degree in Real Estate from the University of Reading. Sam is a Non Executive Director of luxury accessories brand Finlay & Co. Sam is an active anti-slavery supporter and is passionate about philanthropy.

Prior joining LJ Partnership, Guillaume worked as a Senior Associate in the Global Investment Banking group at Credit Agricole CIB in New York, with a focus on the US and Latin America. He was actively involved in the origination and execution process of equity and equity-linked offerings, covering various industries including Real Estate and Hospitality public companies. Before that, Guillaume worked at AXA Private Equity and Fortis Bank. Guillaume holds an undergraduate degree in economics from the University of Paris La Sorbonne and a Master of Science in Management from EMLYON Business School. Guillaume is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

Will is the real estate counsel for LJ Partnership where he is involved in the negotiation, structuring, and execution of all real estate transactions. Will has a BA and MA in Classics from Bristol University, and also studied at the British Institute in Rome for 3 months. He then studied law at BPP and the College of Law. Will trained at Allen and Overy where he worked for three and a half years and qualified into real estate. His time included a six month secondment to the Moscow office, where he worked on joint ventures and mergers and acquisitions in the oil and gas industry. Will then spent 3 years at Berwin Leighton Paisner in the real estate team. He has experience of corporate real estate, joint ventures, real estate finance, development, investment, management work and capital market work.

Prior to joining LJ Partnership, Lana worked at Cording Group where she was actively involved in developing the investment management platform of Cording business. Lana focussed primarily on direct investment and asset management with the deals consisting of both commercial and residential properties. Lana began her career at Credit Suisse/Situs Realty where she was responsible for real estate loan origination and asset management. Lana received an MSc in Real Estate Investment from Cass Business School and passed CFA Level 1.

Percy presently sits on the Advisory Board of LJ and was the Co-founder and CEO of Bhramavira Capital Partners, an alternative asset management firm in the “event driven” space. Prior to launching Bhramavira, Percy spent over ten years, laterally as the Co-Head, of Nomura’s internal hedge fund operation in London (the Asset Investment Division [AID]). AID invested Nomura moneys primarily in the public markets on a mainly hedged basis across all asset classes. Percy was also involved in special situations analysis and investing at CSFB (1994) and then at Nomura (1995 – 2005). Percy is a Barrister (Erskine Chambers: 1988-1989) and Attorney (1989-2003) and has practised law both in London (Alsop Wilkinson now DLA Piper) and New York (Donovan Leisure now Orrick) where he has also been called to their respective Bars. Percy read law at the London School of Economics where he got an LLB(Hons).

Alex is responsible for investor relations on both the business development and client reporting side at LJ Partnership. Alex was previously an Investor Relations Manager for INTERNOS Global Investors, a pan-European real estate manager with €3.5bn AUM. Before that, Alex worked at Clearbell Property Partners, a UK opportunistic real estate manager, primarily assisting with raising their second fund which closed at £400m. Over the last 10 years, Alex has also worked as a Corporate Broker for public and private entities as well as provided IR consultancy to a range of FTSE 350 and small-cap companies.

Serge is a senior analyst and Head of Client Reporting within the Direct Investment division. Previously Serge completed his undergraduate studies at Oxford University where he read Politics, Philosophy and Economics. Serge pursued postgraduate studies at UCL where he was awarded a merit in Msc Economics. Serge has passed CFA level I.

Joaquin is a real estate analyst at LJ Partnership. Prior to joining LJ, Joaquin Werthein founded a multidisciplinary architecture and design firm in Argentina, integrating different practices. He was responsible for sourcing, analysing and leading several development projects, and as Head Designer was also actively involved in the overall design process. After moving to London, Joaquin received an MSc in Real Estate with merit from Cass Business School in 2015. He is fluent in English and Spanish.

Andrew is Chairman of LJ Partnership. Andrew is responsible for LJ Partnership’s real estate investment strategies and oversees all the Group’s real estate investments. Prior to setting up LJ, Andrew was Managing Director of Cushman & Wakefield Residential and Chairman of Cushman & Wakefield Hospitality for Europe, the Middle East and Africa, having transacted on over £5 billion of acquisitions. Andrew has worked in New Zealand, Australia, Asia, the Middle East and Europe and has concluded private & public equity, corporate finance, and property transactions in over 30 countries during the last 25 years. Andrew was Senior Managing Director of Colliers Jardine and a member of the Group Executive Committee. Andrew was responsible for setting up the group’s operations in London in 1993 and Colliers International in the Middle East in 1996.

Investment Management

Neil Beaton is Chief Investment Officer for LJ Partnership. Neil left Manchester University in 1983 where he received a joint honours degree in Economics and Agricultural Economics. Following three years training as an analyst at J Henry Schroder Wagg & Co, he joined SG Warburg, later to become Mercury Asset Management (MAM), as an investment manager specialising in US equities. Neil was CIO of the Global Equity team when MAM was acquired by Merrill Lynch in 1998 and spent a further three years at Merrill Lynch until 2001. Neil was Partner in charge of Deloitte’s Investment Advisory business until 2011 when he led a management buyout to form LJ’s Investment Advisory platform.

Clara is a Partner of LJ Partnership. She is also a Partner of Guggenheim Partners Latin America*, a subsidary of LJ Partnership acquired from Guggenheim Partners, a global investment advisory firm. Clara is in charge of Relationship Management for ultra-high net worth clients in South America. She is a member of the Investment Committee at Guggenheim Partners Latin America. She has over 18 years of experience in private banking and asset management. Before joining Guggenheim Partners Latin America in 2000, she worked in Banco Santander Private Banking for South America. She also worked as Head of Business Development for Collectivemind, an internet developer of financial platforms for institutional investments.

Stuart Davies has over 20 years experience of providing investment advice and financial planning for wealthy families, individuals and trusts. Stuart specialises in investment consulting and long term strategic financial planning. His work includes detailed risk analysis for client portfolios, objective setting, portfolio benchmarking, manager search and assessment and performance monitoring. He advises a large number of ultra high net worth individuals, trusts and other organisations in the UK and overseas. Stuart is also a member of the panel of judges for the annual Private Asset Managers Awards, the leading awards in the private asset management business in the UK.

Weichen Ding is an analyst at LJ Partnership, specializing in macroeconomic and fund research. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Economics from University College London and holds a BSc in Information Security from Fudan University. Weichen Ding is from Shanghai, China and is fluent in mandarin.

Mr. Fulk is a Managing Director for LJ Partnership. He has over 12 years of experience in financial markets and investment management. Prior to joining LJ Partnership, he was a Managing Director at High Tower Advisors as a member of SF Wealth Management, an independent wealth management team that divested from Guggenheim Partners in 2015. Prior to joining HighTower Advisors, he was a member of the U.S. Portfolio Management team and a member of the investment committee at Guggenheim Investment Advisors, an SEC registered investment advisor. Prior to joining Guggenheim Partners, he was a portfolio manager and hedge fund analyst at Signet Capital Management, a firm specializing in hedge fund portfolio solutions. Mr. Fulk holds a Bachelor of Science from Pennsylvania State University, a Master of Business Administration from George Mason University and is a CFA charter holder. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 63 licences.

Charlie is a Partner of LJ Partnership and a senior advisor within LJ’s Investment Management division. He was previously a manager within the Deloitte Investment Advisory business and specialises in advising individuals, families, trustees, corporates and charities. He advises clients in the UK and overseas with a recent focus on emerging economies and regions. Charlie graduated with an honours degree in business from the University of Newcastle and is a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities and Investment (FCSI) and a member of the UK Society of Investment Professionals. Charlie has been in the industry for over 10 years.

Barney Horwich is Head of Research for LJ Partnership. He leads the research team providing fund selection, asset allocation and macro-economic views and analysis to LJ. Previously, Barney was a Senior Associate with the Deloitte Investment Advisory business prior to the management buyout in 2011. Barney graduated with an honours degree in Economics from University College London and is a CFA and CAIA charterholder. He is also a Chartered Fellow of the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (FCSI) and the UK CFA Society.

Jose is a Partner of LJ Partnership. He is also a Director of Guggenheim Partners Latin America*, a subsidary of LJ Partnership acquired from Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm. Jose is in charge of Relationship Management with ultra-high net worth clients. At Guggenheim Partners Latin America, Jose has also headed the manager selection and due diligence efforts for International Wealth Management and is a member of the Investment Committee. Jose has over 22 years’ experience in investment banking, private equity and asset management. Before joining Guggenheim Partners Latin America in 2002, he was in charge of Acquisitions and Business Development at TMSG – an affiliate of private equity firm Hicks, Muse, Tate & Furst. Prior to that, between 1993 and 1998, he worked as an Associate in investment banking at J.P. Morgan & Co. and as an Analyst at Oppenheimer & Co., Inc. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton School of The University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Applied Science from The Engineering School of The University of Pennsylvania. He also holds an MBA with honors from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

Ricardo is a Partner LJ Partnership. He is also a Director of Guggenheim Partners Latin America*, a subsidary of LJ Partnership acquired from Guggenheim Partners, a global investment and advisory firm. Ricardo is in charge of Relationship Management with ultra-high net worth clients. At Guggenheim Partners Latin America, Ricardo has played a senior role in the portfolio analysis division and is a member of the Investment Committee. He also led the efforts to open and expand the Guggenheim Hong Kong office. Ricardo has over 25 years of experience in consulting, trading and asset management. Prior to joining Guggenheim Partners Latin America in 2001, he worked as Vice President at Banco Santander International (1997-2001), where he was responsible for the trading, execution and recommendation of fixed income securities including US high grade and emerging market instruments. Before this, he worked in Andersen Consulting (now known as Accenture) for 4 years (1991–1995), where he was involved as a senior consultant in a number of projects regarding some of the largest Spanish conglomerates. Mr. de la Serna participated in the Erasmus Programme and holds a BA (honors) from The Universities of Humberside (UK) and Madrid (Spain). He also has an MBA with concentration in finance from the Kellogg School at Northwestern University.

Soroosh is a Partner of LJ Partnership. Soroosh has over 24 years of experience in banking and finance. He was most recently co-Head of Global Markets at Renaissance Capital and a member of the board of Renaissance Credit in Russia. Prior to that, he acted as the Global Chairman of Emerging Markets at Nomura International. He has run various sales and trading operations at Lehman Brothers, Citigroup, Goldman Sachs and Bankers Trust focused on global Emerging Markets. Soroosh holds a Ph.D. from Harvard University, Masters of Science and Philosophy degrees from Yale and an A.B. degree in Mathematics and Chemistry from Occidental College.

Hamish has been an analyst with LJ Investment Management for over three years. His daily responsibilities include discretionary manager and fund research across geographies and asset classes, alongside client reporting and providing important client support. Hamish holds the IMC and is a CFA charterholder. He graduated from the University of Nottingham with a 2:1 in Neuroscience with Biochemistry and following that completed 34 weeks of Royal Marines Young Officer training.

Hayley joined LJ Partnership in February 2014 as an analyst specializing in manager and fund research. Hayley spent over four years at Preqin, the research and consultancy firm, where she was the Managing Analyst looking at asset classes including private equity, hedge funds, fixed income, real estate and infrastructure. Hayley graduated with a Master’s degree in Mathematics from Durham University in 2009 and is fluent in English, Mandarin and Cantonese.

Trust & Administration

Rodrigo is Private Client Director with LJ Trust & Administration. Prior to joining LJ in 2015, Rodrigo was successively Senior Relationship Manager and Business Development Director at United International Group’s London office. His previous experience includes Relationship Management positions at two boutique trust firms, Premier International and Finatlantic Corporate Services, always with a Portuguese and Spanish speaking focus. A Portuguese-registered lawyer, he completed his law degree from Lisbon University.

Richard works within the Trust & Administration teams coordinating business development with clients and intermediaries. Richard’s role includes providing his clients with structuring solutions to ensure that their assets are best protected; establishing a series of funds for private clients on a co-investment basis across jurisdictions and markets; and, exploring corporate holding vehicles for clients to ensure that succession plans for underlying entities are in place. As Director of both the UK and Swiss Trust and Administration teams, Richard oversees business development and family strategy with a current focus on emerging markets, particularly East Africa where he has historic family ties. Richard holds a certificate in Investment Management from the CFA, is a member of the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners (TEP) and is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Charles Filmer is a Partner of LJ Partnership and Head of LJ Private Office. Having grown up in Kenya and after a Short Service Commission in the 13th/18th Royal Hussars Charles began working in the family office of Sir James Goldsmith where in 1993 he became a partner. Across 23 years with the Goldsmith Family Group, Charles gained an invaluable understanding of the workings of a private international family office. After the dismantling of the Goldsmith family office in 1997 Charles set up Unicorn Administration offering private office services to a client base of international families based in the UK. Unicorn Administration became the LJ Private office in 2012 and is run by Charles from headquarters in London.

Isle of Man

Robert is a Partner of LJ Partnership and has over 29 years’ of experience within the finance industry, of which the last 19 have been spent in a Fiduciary Services environment. He was educated in the Isle of Man and following the completion of a BA (Econ) at the University of Manchester, commenced accountancy training with Pannell Kerr Forster (PKF), qualifying as a Chartered Accountant in 1991. His role at PKF was predominantly audit and corporate finance focussed. In 1997 he joined Charles Cain at what is now LJ Partnership and is currently Managing Director of the Isle of Man office as well as being Group CFO for the Trust & Administration offering of the LJ Partnership.

Paul has over 27 years in the Isle of Man offshore finance sector. The last 20 years have been spent in an international offshore company secretarial role. He spent 13 years at Clerical Medical as Assistant Company Secretary with responsibility for the Isle of Man and provided dedicated support to various European, South Africa and Hong Kong offices of the Group. Prior to joining LJ Partnership he spent 2 and half years at an Isle of Man CSP/Fund Management operation as company secretarial manager with a portfolio of high net worth clients. Joining LJ in 2009 he is Company Secretary and Technical Services Manager with responsibility for the Isle of Man and Swiss Offices. Educated in London and King Williams College, Isle of Man, he has a BA Economics and Economic History, Liverpool University.

Mark is a Director and Head of Private Client Services for the Isle of Man. He has 20 years’ experience in the financial services, fiduciary management and administration sectors, spending the past 17 years specialising in the offshore fiduciary sector. Prior to joining LJ Partnership, Mark worked for many years at a respected independent firm in the Isle of Man holding leading positions in their client services divisions. Mark commenced his career with RBS Group before first moving into his current area of expertise with Barclays Private Bank & Trust. Mark’s experience includes managing property owning structures, traditional wealth ownership structures as well as administering trading companies and their activities. Mark holds the STEP diploma in International Trust Management.

Switzerland

Ross is Managing Director of the Switzerland Trust & Administration division. Ross joins LJ after having spent the last six years leading the Swiss business of UK Chartered Accountants Saffery Champness where he ended as an Executive Director and a key part of the management team that lead the steady growth of that business. Day-to-day Ross specialises in advising clients on the problems wealth often entails from an international legal, tax and regulatory perspective.

Ross has held senior roles with UK and US banking institutions and he holds an LLB from the University of London; various qualifications from the London Institute of Banking and Finance as well as being a member of Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners and the International Business Structuring Association. Ross is an international speaker and has written and published articles on a range of topics affecting clients and professionals in the financial sector.

 

Vanessa is a Director and Senior Client Services Manager at LJ Trust & Administration. After graduating from Bournemouth University, she passed the STEP Foundation Certificate in International Trust Management and is currently working towards the STEP Diploma. Vanessa has a strong history of client relationship roles and has a wide range of experience in trust and company management, specialising in fine art and commercial and residential property transactions. She has extensive international work experience, including in China, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland and is fluent in English, Spanish, French and Swedish.

Operations

Nick is Chief Compliance Officer for LJ Partnership. He has 30 years’ experience of financial regulation and compliance, having previously worked at HM Treasury; the US National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD); the Investment Management Regulatory Organisation (IMRO); in the compliance advisory teams at Deloitte & Touche and Ernst & Young; and as an independent compliance adviser. Nick is an MA of Oxford University.

Jamie has over 20 years’ experience working in the IT industry. He previously worked as Lead Consultant for InstantOn IT, working with a range of clients focusing on delivering services across multiple technologies and platforms. Jamie started at InstantOn IT 9 years ago as an IT Analyst progressing to the roll of Lead Consultant. Before joining InstantOn, IT Jamie was IT Manager for an online medical information company called OnMedica. Jamie studied Business and Information Technology at the University of Central Lancashire.

Samantha is responsible for global business development coordination across all divisions at LJ Partnership. Prior to joining LJ Partnership, Samantha worked as a Business Development Manager at a leading London law firm, Charles Russell Speechlys, with offices in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Over the last 10 years, the majority of her career has been working within the financial services sector for Barclays Wealth & Investment Bank, Private Banking and most recently as a Private Banker at Duncan Lawrie Private Bank, a boutique Private Bank in Belgravia which oversees £735m of investments and a £44m loan book.

Clair works across the operations and business development teams at LJ Partnership. Clair is additionally responsible for managing LJ’s PR and communications strategy. Prior to joining LJ Partnership, Clair completed her English Literature degree at the University of Leeds. Clair holds the Investment Management Certificate and is authorised by the Financial Conduct Authority.

Anna is Assistant Compliance and KYC Officer to LJ Partnership. Working directly with the finance, legal and business development team, Anna‘s role within the Group primarily focuses on overseeing and managing regulatory compliance matters. Prior to this Anna completed her law degree at the University of London and is currently studying for the CISI Investment Compliance Diploma.

Gemma is company secretary for LJ Partnership and works closely with legal counsel. Prior to joining LJ, Gemma worked as an associate for Ogier in Jersey, a leading offshore law firm where she also completed her training. While at Ogier, Gemma assisted on a wide variety of corporate, commercial and banking transactions and provided listing services in relation to the Channel Islands Securities Exchange where she acted for leading global financial institutions, investment managers and corporate entities and was instructed by many leading global law firms and other intermediaries. Her time there also included a secondment to Royal Bank of Scotland International as in-house counsel. Gemma qualified as an English solicitor in October 2008 and read law at Exeter University.

Alexander is a Partner and Chief Executive Officer of LJ Partnership. Prior to setting up LJ, he was a partner at Prostar Capital, a corporate finance firm focusing on private equity and real estate investment. Alexander was Legal Counsel to the Deutsche Land Group PLC, an AIM listed real estate investment fund. Before moving in-house, Alexander worked as an associate in the real estate investment team at SJ Berwin in London and Paris. Alexander trained as a lawyer at Bircham Dyson Bell and worked for L’Oréal SA. He studied law, finance and regulation at BPP law school in London and Classics & Ancient History at Newcastle University.

Mark is Group Finance Director for LJ Partnership. Mark has over 10 years accounting and advisory experience primarily focusing on financial reporting, taxation and due diligence transactions.

Prior to joining LJ Partnership, he was Assistant Financial Controller in AIG Asset Management (Europe) Limited. Mark trained as an auditor BDO Dublin, and continued working in practice moving to PwC Jersey and PwC London where he worked in the Banking and Capital Markets division. Mark’s experience working in practice included audit and controls reporting for a variety of investment banking, private equity and real estate clients. Before moving to AIG, marks initial industry experience involved working as Group Financial Accountant in pensions and consulting firm Punter Southall Group.

Mark completed his Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance, and Masters degree in Accounting in Dublin City University. Mark was admitted to the Institute of Chartered Accountants Ireland in 2008.

Sophie is a Partner and General Counsel of LJ Partnership, overseeing LJ’s global legal activities across all service lines. Sophie joined LJ as Legal Counsel in 2012, and was appointed General Counsel in 2014. Sophie trained and practiced as a solicitor within the finance team at Slaughter and May, advising clients on a range of corporate and financing transactions. Sophie studied law at BPP Law School in London and holds a degree in English Literature from the University of Bristol.

Karen joined LJ Partnership in March 2014 and provides support to the legal team. Karen holds a degree in English Literature from Kings College London and a law degree from the College of Law.

Elliot is Partner and Chief Financial Officer of LJ Partnership and has 15 years’ experience in finance with positions held in both practice and industry. Having graduated from university with BA (Hons) in Economics, Elliot spent the first eight years of his career in practice as an accounts and audit manager, before taking a director position (2003-2009) in charge of finance in a real estate business. This led to a similar position within a blue-chip global company (Cushman & Wakefield) following acquisition, before leaving to help found LJ. In addition Elliot also held a financial position (2005-2007), managing the financial statements and forecasting of Salamanca Capital Investments, a privately owned group of investment management and advisory companies.

Lisa has eleven years’ operations and project management experience within public and private sectors. Lisa is senior Executive Assistant to Andrew Williams and Elliot Shave and oversees company operations. Joining the group in 2010, Lisa was also responsible for setting up company facilities, recruitment and management of the support team. Prior to the LJ Partnership, Lisa was Project Manager and Events Co-ordinator for the Training & Development Agency, a management consultancy for schools and local authorities across the UK. Lisa has worked across Europe and in New Zealand and graduated from the University of Winchester with BA (Hons).

Catriona is corporate legal counsel for LJ Partnership, where she is involved in the negotiation, structuring and execution of all corporate transactions. Catriona graduated from the University of Oxford and the Université Panthéon-Assas in Paris with first class degrees in English and French law. Catriona gained a distinction in the LPC before training and qualifying as a solicitor at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer, a magic circle international law firm. Catriona’s time at Freshfields included secondments to Freshfields’ Paris office and to a leading global customer science consultancy as in-house counsel. Catriona has broad experience in corporate mergers and acquisitions, reorganisations, restructuring and general corporate advisory work.
